Student dropout
Our children in the elementary stage often escape from school, and we as parents immediately resort to punishment without considering the motive behind it. Therefore, knowing the causes is a crucial matter.
Causes of student dropout in the elementary stage:
1. Family causes: Through parents abandoning their obligations and responsibilities toward their children due to divorce and family separation, harsh treatment of children, or a lack of parental awareness.
2. Economic causes: These involve the family’s need to increase its current income, which leads to children engaging in work at an early age and leaving school due to the family’s inability to bear the expenses.
3. Educational causes: Mistreatment of students by some teachers and the use of physical or verbal punishment.
4. Psychological causes: Many students suffer from psychological problems that lead to them dropping out, along with the student’s inability to adapt to the new school atmosphere and other psychological factors.
As for female dropout: It is due to parents’ lack of awareness regarding the importance of their daughters completing the elementary stage, the family’s need for the girl to work at home, and the refusal to accept the mixing of females and males.
