Reasons for Constant Marital Disputes

Many married couples complain about the frequency of disputes between them, and failing to understand the cause will only increase them. Among the reasons for these disputes are:

  • Inability to reach a common understanding and a lack of harmony, which results from clashing personalities and a lack of will on either side to make sound decisions or to draw closer to the other.

  • Tension and the difficulty it imposes on building a healthy relationship between spouses. In this state, neither can think calmly, make the right decisions, or correct mistakes. Consequently, they often deal with each other aggressively and in a manner far removed from logic.

  • Ambiguity and the lack of candid expression of thoughts and feelings, which often causes misunderstandings and weakens each partner’s ability to listen to the other or understand their needs. In this context, neither consults the other regarding life matters, which contributes to the widening gap between them.
